What We Did in 2018-2019

The 2018-19 school year was a busy one and we're proud to share some highlights of our work with you! Julia Yost, our FoodCorps service members for two years, and Rachel Pettit, our Farm to Schoo Program Manager, shared gardening with 1,000 students a month across six schools and helped provide opportunities for students and their families to learn more about our Tillamook County food system. Click through the slideshow below for a snapshot of our year!

Photo 2: a sampling of locally grown salad greens for a spring Tasting Table at five elementary schools.

Photo 3: School garden harvest of heirloom Makah Ozette fingerling potatoes, cherry tomatoes, tomatillos, and sweet corn we'll use for seed.

Photo 4: One of our favorite parts of the program is taking students and parents on field trips to local farms, including Nehalem River Ranch.
