Food Roots is Recruiting for the IDA Program

Updated: Aug 14, 2019

Food Roots has received our 2019 funding for the IDA program and we are recruiting! Food Roots' Individual Development Accounts or IDAs are matched (3:1) savings accounts for entrepreneurs of modest incomes and assets, to save money to begin or invest in their farm or food business. Participants work to define their long term business goals and develop regular savings habits, while receiving financial education and support in writing a business plan.

Are you or do you know someone who is a farmer, fisher or food producer in our community? IDAs are an awesome opportunity to save for an asset purchase for your business where every dollar you save is matched with three additional dollars.

You can learn more about the IDA program here or contact Lainie at ida@foodrootsnw.org or more information.
