Hello Food Roots SNAP customers,
Beginning with orders for the Tuesday, June 6th delivery and pick-up, Food Roots is officially implementing a change to the SNAP Match ratio you will receive when you use your EBT card with us.
The Food Roots Board and staff looked at the budget we have available
for conducting all we do for the rest of the fiscal year, and agreed that in order to continue providing SNAP match benefits and our other community food programs, we must reduce the SNAP match ratio from 2:1 to 1:1. You can get up to $20 of SNAP charges matched 1:1 on food from Food Roots. We realize this will potentially have an impact on your food shopping and consumption, and we apologize for any changes this means for you.
Please know that we are always working hard to deliver the most we can to you and the rest of our community. We apply for and receive multiple grants each year, hold fundraising events, and promote our initiatives. On top of that, generous individuals in our community donate towards the SNAP match program.
