An equitable local food system is one in which all members of a community can consume foods grown, tended, caught, and made locally every day, and in which every food producer of the community is well supported daily.
Projects
In 2025, for the third year in a row, we received grant funding to purchase foods from local farms and deliver them to people in need via partnerships with local organizations.
Through generous grants and donors, we supplied:

nine local food deliveries to 175 households per delivery.

66 school families with two bilingual local food recipe kits.

66 households with bilingual local food recipe kits in partnership with the Tillamook YMCA and Nehalem Bay Health Center & Pharmacy, which acted as the pick-up sites.
How do these projects work? Simply put, we connect and plan with incredible organizational leaders. We find out what local foods program participants would like the most, and then work with local farmers to purchase the foods each month.
