FarmTable
Food Roots' FarmTable at the Tillamook Farmers Market
FarmTable, a project of Food Roots microenterprise programming is open every Saturday from June to September, from 9 am until 2 pm. FarmTable is a farm stand incubator that gives garden and small farm entrepreneurs (both youth and adult) the opportunity to start off small, without the start-up costs of operating their own farm stands, enabling them to save for their businesses, while still producing local food for the community and growing their customer base. FarmTable is also a place for gardeners to sell any excess produce they may have from their home gardens.
We are now accepting FarmTable Vendor Applications! If you are interested in selling your agricultural products in our 2012 season, please read these guidelines and agreement and return this document, signed, to Food Roots by email to microbiz@foodrootsnw.org or by mail to Food Roots at P.O. Box 1275, Tillmook, Oregon 97141. You will then recieve a phone call by a Food Roots staff member to go over FarmTable details and discuss a short vendor training to take place before market opening day.
Food Roots seeks 4-5 high school youth and/or adult volunteers who can staff the table 2 or 3 Saturdays during the Tillamook Farmers Market open season. Please contact Food Roots at microbiz@foodrootsnw.org to learn how you can become a FarmTable volunteer, or for general information about this microenterprise and community development project.
